Weapons Tradecraft

Weapons Tradecraft will enhance your ability to manipulate your weapon systems and marksmanship under adverse conditions. Weapons Tradecraft seamlessly integrates your physical ability, and movement in conjunction with your handgun and carbine in day or low-light conditions. Course exercises are designed to help you refine your grip, stance, recoil management, speed, and accuracy to be effective no matter what your goal is. Weapons Tradecraft is appropriate for civilians defending their home, law enforcement defending their community, and military defending their country.
Prerequisite: Prior recent attendance in a basic handgun and carbine training course from an accredited school, instructor, unit or agency.
Weapons and Ammunition Requirements: Handgun: 600 rounds, Carbine: 600 rounds.
Kinetic Operations will train you in communicating in the tactical environment using verbal communications, hand signals, and radio communication. In addition to the skills that you possess following Weapons Tradecraft, you will be trained to shoot, move, and communicate in an austere environment with stealth, in tandem with other shooters. Course exercises focus on topics such as terrain association, moving, communicating, and shooting on uneven terrain in a 360-degree environment on concealed targets ranging from 5 to 150 yards. Evening activities include familiarization with night vision and thermal capabilities.
Prerequisite: Attendance in Weapons Tradecraft.
Weapons and Ammo Requirements: Handgun: 500 rounds, Carbine: 500 rounds.
Operation Solutions is our capstone course which builds on the skills developed in Weapons Tradecraft and Kinetic Operations by incorporating them into both day and night environments utilizing all necessary equipment including Night Vision and Thermal capabilities. You will be expected to shoot, move, and communicate with your peers in a cohesive and strategic manner during multiple scenarios achieving mission success. Exercises will focus on preparation, planning, and execution for a given scenario. Topics include gear preparation and customization, digital land navigation techniques, operational organization, and deployment of any other necessary skills to be successful.
Prerequisite: Attendance in Kinetic Operations.
Weapons and Ammo Requirements: Handgun: 600 rounds, Carbine: 600 rounds.

TKO Course Structure
For participants new to TKO Solutions, our 2-day training sessions can be taken independently but must be taken in the sequence listed above. For example, new students can take Weapons Tradecraft and Kinetic Operations in one session and return for Operation Solutions in another session if desired.
Returning participants may enroll in any of the 2-day sessions offered in any order based upon the last session taken.
For example, a returning participant could sign up for Kinetic Operations if they have already taken Weapons Tradecraft in a previous session.
Courses limited to 12 students.
Kinetic Operations and Operation Solutions are moderately arduous programs conducted off the square range.
Students should be able to walk, with full kit and equipment, distances of at least one mile over uneven terrain. Students should be able to operate in varying weather conditions appropriate for the time of year in high desert conditions.

Logistics and Facilities
Class will run most of the day and optionally into some evenings. This class will present an optimal time to train in full kit without awkward looks from your neighbors and will present an opportunity to work out the bugs in your setups.
Roundup, Montana has motels and nearby VRBO cabins, a grocery store and some restaurants. It is approximately 40 minutes from the TKO Solutions Training Site. Additional VRBO and groceries can be found in Ryegate, Montana, also approximately 45 minutes from the training site. Billings, Montana has full services and is 75 minutes away. Billings is the nearest full-service medical facility with air ambulance for emergencies.
Primitive camping and porta-potties are available on site with prior arrangements. However, cellphone service and internet access are limited. No laundry services are available. Be prepared to be mostly off-grid during training hours. If there is enough interest, we may consider some group catered dinners. Packing list and details to follow for enrolled students.
